    • Q: Is this legal?
A: Yes, the tax laws offer exemptions but if you don't take advantage of them they won't seek you out. That is why there is a refund process.

    • Q: Is my confidential data secure?
A: 100%. We sign a confidentiality agreement right up front. Also, our authorization is limited to obtaining historical utility information and the right to request future reductions and a refund on your behalf. We have no access to any of your other financial records.

    • Q: Have other facilities gone through this process?
A: Yes. To date, we have worked with dozens of facilities and recovered an average of $20,000 per home. See our client listing on the Testimonial page.

    • Q: How long will it take?
A: Initially, you will complete several forms and supply requested bills which should take just a few moments. I handle the rest of the process and the timing depends on how long it takes to gather the information from the vendors. Additionally, the State review may take several months. I will provide an estimated time-line when we begin the process.

    • Q: Can't I do this myself?
A: Yes. However, unless you know what you're doing, you might spend more time and money than having me do it for you. Plus, there are nuances to making a complete package that can earn you interest on the overpayments and result in a faster refund.

    • Q: How often do I need to do this?
A: Just once. When I prepare your refund, I will also make sure your tax rates are correctly reduced. That could save you hundreds or thousands of dollars each month. We do recommend additional audits every two years to ensure nothing has changed on your accounts that would result in your losing these exemptions.

    • Q: Does this apply to nursing homes in all fifty states?
A: No, different states have different laws. Some offer limited exemptions, while others offer none at all. To find out if your state offers exemptions, e-mail me at: .

    • Q: How much does it cost?
A: It costs you nothing out-of-pocket. I take a commission only if I recover money. Also, I receive a percentage of the refund, but you keep all the monthly benefit.

    • Q: How do I begin?
A: Simply fax a copy of your electricity, natural gas, heating oil, or propane bills to me at 940.234.7269. Include your name, title, telephone number and e-mail address. If you'd like to assign a different contact, you may include it in the coversheet. I will provide you with instructions after that.

    • Q: Is there a time limit for refunds?
A: Yes! There is a limit to how far back you can go, generally two to three years. That's why it's important to act right away. Send for your free-review now to get started.
